A history of penalty for the first game of the 2009 Nations Cup!
At the 15th minute, Sébastien Landrin scored his penalty and gave the advantage to France. Montreux had a big chance to come back with three penalty. But, everytime, they were unable to beat the French goalkeeper. France scored two more goals at 35th before Jérôme Moriceau, the french reinforcment of Montreux, saved the honour for the players of the Riviera. |

Argentina started his tournament by the best way possible!
First match and first victory for the players from José Martinazzo. They were able to countain the physical game of Angola. Behind the excellent Mariano Velazquez, the guys from Argentina made their job in winning the first half 1-0 and in insuring the control of the game in second half. |

After the easy victory against Macao, Switzerland lived a totally other match for his second meeting with the tournament. In a blocked game, the players from Argentina were more realistic than their opponents. The Swiss players will have to beat Angola if they want their way through to the semi-final. |

The Portuguese logically beated the French players after an exciting game with a lot of actions. The french goalkeeper Gellebart had a great performance to let his team believe the exploit possible. But two minutes before the end, Ricardo Pereira scored and gave an happy victory for all the Portuguese fans. |

After a difficult start against Montreux yesterday, the world champions seem to have found their rythm. They made the difference in the first half (4-0) before controlling the game in second half. Switzerland won't go into semi-finals!
Angola plaid perfectly tactically. They just needed a draw to get qualified for the semis. So they let ball's possession to the Swiss players and waited them. They scored just before the break. But Switzerland had a great comeback and took the advantage in 3 minutes after the pause! But Angola had the strength to come back and get the victory 45 seconds before the end of the game. |
