Comment: France opened the Coupe des Nations event in Montreux with a 21-1 victory over Macao. The French team, one of the favorites for a place in the semifinals started the match in a quiet way, just leading 6-1 at half time. In the second half, France proved to be much to strong for the Asians and finally claimed the victory with 20 goals difference.

Comment: Angola scared Argentina in the second match of the Coupe des Nations. Although the South American team defeated the African formation, it was not that easy at all for the organizer of the 2011 World Championship. After a tough battle, it was Argentina that claimed the 7-5 victory and joins France as co-leader in group B of the tournament.

Comment: Portugal nailed Germany in the first match of group A of the Coupe des Nations. The tournament favorite defeated the German team by playing an excellent second half. Germany was able to keep track of the opponent in the first half, but Portugal showed that the team was much better than the opponent in the second half.

Comment: Montreux HC was close to an upset in the last match of the opening day of the Coupe des Nations. The home team was leading 3-1 against the current World Champion but finally lost the match 6-3. Montreux HC was not able to cope the extreme pressure of Spain in the second half, but can look back on an almost perfect opening match.

Comment: France just escaped against Angola on the second day of the Coupe des Nations. The African team was leading the entire match, but the French squad equalized just before the end of the match (4-4). For Angola, the defeat was a deception. The African team was never so close to such an important victory. The draw completely opens up group B, as now Argentina, France and Angola are competing for two semifinal spots.

Comment: Argentina is very close to a place in the semifinals of the Coupe des Nations. The host of the 2011 World Championship has no problem against Macao. The question was not if Argentina would win, but with how many goals difference the Argentine team would claim the victory. At the end, Argentina scored 26 goals more than the opponent (28-2). Argentina only needs a draw against France on Friday to reach the Final Four.

Comment: Portugal booked its second victory at the 64th Coupe des Nations. The tournament favorite defeated Montreux HC 6-1 and is extremely close to a place in the semifinals. The home team did everything it could to please the crowd and didn't give up until the end of the match. Portugal claimed the victory, but the Montreux HC players could be proud of themselves.

Comment: Spain played an easy match against Germany. The World Champion quickly scored a goal and kept in control of the match until the end. Leading 2-0 at half time, Spain professionally finished the encounter by defeating the German team 7-0. This victory was enough to book a place in the semifinals. With this result, Portugal is also sure of a place in the Final Four.

Comment: Angola did what it had to do during its last group match at the Coupe des Nations. The African team defeated Macao with a big goal difference to keep the options open for a place in the semifinals. Angola nailed the Asian opponent 30-3 and has to wait for the result of Argentina-France later Friday evening. If Argentina wins against France, Angola reaches the Final Four of the event here in Montreux.

Comment: Montreux HC won its first match of the Coupe des Nations. The home team defeated Germany 4-3 and will play Macao on Saturday in the classification match for the 5th to 8th position. Montreux HC opened the match very strong, but Germany came back and equalized just three minutes before the end of the encounter. A goal of Gaël Jiminez with just over one minute to play brought Montreux HC the victory.

Comment: Portugal defeated Spain in the encounter of the giants at the Coupe des Nations. The defending champion pleased their fans with a victory over the World Champion. An early goal in the first half was enough to lock the match. Portugal kept in control and took a 3-1 victory. This result put Portugal on top of group A, while Spain will enter the semifinals as the second team from this group.

Comment: Argentina was stronger than France (4-2) in the last pool match of group B. The organizer of the 2011 World Championship remained undefeated and will meet Spain in Saturday's semifinal. For France, the loss was a major disappointment. The French players tried hard, but lost their nerves against the smart playing Argentines. The Argentine victory put France out of the semifinals.

Comment: France was just better than Germany in the first classification match for the fifth to eight position at the Coupe des Nations. While the match remained all square for a long time, the French team proved to be just a little bit better. While France will do everything to finish fifth, Germany can only reach the seventh position now.

Comment: Montreux HC is still going strong at the Coupe des Nations. The home team defeated Macao 11-0 in the classification match for the fifth to eight position. Montreux HC will meet France on Sunday and can even finish fifth at the 64th edition of the Coupe des Nations. With the win over Macao, Montreux HC proved to be better than expected.

Comment: Portugal is the first finalist of the Coupe des Nations. The defending champion remained undefeated here in Montreux and took a 6-2 victory over Angola. Portugal showed again great roller hockey and cruised into the final. For Angola, it was a great experience to play such a big match against one of the best teams in the world. Portugal will meet the winner of the encounter between Spain and Argentina in the final.

Comment:: Spain joins Portugal in the final of the 64th Coupe des Nations. The World Champion had many difficulties to defeat Argentina in the semifinal. After a scoreless first half, Argentina opened the score and was leading until four minute before the end of the match. Spain equalized and took the victory in overtime.

Comment:: Germany finished the 64th Coupe de Nation on the seventh position. The German team defeated Macao on the last day of competition. It was the first victory for Germany at the Coupe des Nations this year. For Macao, the opponents were a little too strong. The Asian team lost all its matches.

Comment:: France claimed the fifth position of the Coupe des Nation. The French team defeated host Montreux HC scoring just one goal. After a scoreless first half, France opened the score early in the second half and didn't give the match away anymore. Montreux HC was not strong enough to come back, but can look back on a excellent Coupe des Nations.

Comment:: Argentina took the bronze medal at the 64th Coupe des Nations. The South-Americans defeated Angola after penalties. Angola was close to a victory, when the African team was leading 2-1 with just more than four minutes to play. The organized of the 2011 World Championship scored the equalizer and finally took the victory after a long penalty shootout series. For Angola, the Coupe des Nations was an enormous success. The host of the 2013 World Championship proved to be part of the best teams in the world.

Comment:: Portugal is again the Champion of the Coupe des Nations. The Portuguese team defeated Spain in the final 2-1. It was a very interesting match between the two roller-hockey giants. Portugal opened the score, but the young Spanish came back. With just more than five minutes to play, Ricarco Oliviera scored the winning goal. Portugal was the defending champion in Montreux.
